It had then justified its removal claiming those might confuse and frustrate its customers as not all streaming devices provides the optimum Amazon experience as its own Prime Video service did on Fire TV. Adding to the announcement, Google also said that one huge part of the reason for removal was Amazon refusing to sell Chromecast dongles along with its Google Home speakers, and that Amazon Prime does not now support Chromecast.

"I can confirm that we are assorting Apple TV and Chromecast", an Amazon spokeswoman told CNET on Thursday, offering no further information. The retailer said that this was confusing customers, and that it wanted to make sure that customers could only buy devices that would support its own in-house video services.

The beef between Amazon and Google reached fever pitch last week when Google confirmed it would begin blocking YouTube access on Amazon's Fire TV devices.

USA energy agency sees higher oil prices, more oil in 2018
For all of 2017, the total demand forecast was unchanged at 97.7 million barrels a day, up by 1.5 million (1.6%) compared to 2016. West Texas Intermediate and international-benchmark Brent crude oil rebounded after an early sell-off.

The move to resume Apple TV sales follows Amazon launching a version of its Prime Video application for Apple TV users earlier this month. Previously in October 2015 Amazon had banned the sale of Google's home entertainment devices.

Does this mean that Amazon Prime Video will work on Google Chromecast soon? The decision to block access was announced days ago, and underscoring it was a sharp, immediate action from Google: it took away Echo Show's access to YouTube altogether.

Fire TV owners might not be losing YouTube after all.

"We are in productive discussions with Amazon to reach an agreement for the benefit of our mutual customers", a Google spokesperson said. At the time, Google publicly blamed the spat on Amazon refusing to sell Google devices on its store.
