LG launches LG V30+ in India, priced at Rs 44990

Both the handsets were announced at IFA 2017 in August. LG had sent out the invites for the phone's launch last week. The South Korean company has finally launched the device in India. The smartphone comes with 128GB of storage as compared to 64GB on the LG V30. Since the display is OLED it has the "always on" feature as well like the Samsung Galaxy flagships. The phone has ditched the 3.5mm audio jack.

The device also comes with IP68 water and dust resistance and adheres to military grade MIL-STD 810G standards.

Some of the earlier reports suggested that the Indian variant won't be including these features to cut down the cost.

It comes with a 6-inch OLED FullVision Display with Quad HD+ (2880 x 1440 pixels) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. The hybrid dual SIM slot supports up to 2 TB microSD card.

Software: The LG V30+ runs Android 7.1.2 Nougat-based UX 6.0 out-of-the-box.

In conjunction with the expanded availability for developers, World Effects will also be enabled inside the Facebook AR Studio. We'll see over time if that pitch resonates, and whether or not people care about funky AR features in their Facebook camera.

- The V30+ dual camera system has been built not only to take outstanding still photos, it has also been created to shoot pro-level videos. The primary camera is a 16MP sensor with f/1.6 aperture coupled with OIS, an LED flash, and a combo of Laser and Phase detection auto-focus. The front camera sports a 5MP sensor.

The LG V30+ is powered by a 3,300mAh battery and comes with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3 support. Meanwhile, the set of connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C and more. It will be available in color choices like Aurora Black and Cloud Silver. The phone has been priced at Rs 44,990 and will be available through offline and online stores starting from December 18. Pre-orders will begin from tomorrow, December 14.

LG will offer one-time screen replacement, and a wireless charger and in-app content (game Beat Fever worth Rs 6,400) free with the device.
