James Corden, the "Late Late Show" host and executive producer of "Carpool Karaoke" was also behind it. Corden told the Associated Press at the time of Bennington's death that they would handle the episode in whatever manner his family, and the people involved in the show, would like it to be handled.

"We will navigate it as delicately as possible and just adhere to whatever wishes they would want because I don't think there's any other way we could deal with it".

Bennington, 41, recorded the video on 14 July - six days before he killed himself at his home in Palos Verdes, California. He went on to send his thoughts and prayers to Bennington and his family and friends.

Linkin Park will hold a benefit concert in honor of Bennington October 27 in Los Angeles.
